The main card will feature the current Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans. Evans who will be defending his title for the fist time since he won it in devastating fashion against Forrest Griifin will face the elusive Lyoto Machida. This intriguing match-up has a strong potential to be the fight of the night. Both fighters, have great skills however the deciding factor on who will most likely be  the one who can best maintain their gameplan. Despite Rashad Evans being the current UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion, most bookies have Machida as the clear favourite.

The co-main event will feature the long awaited grudge match between Matt Serra and Matt Hughes. Both these fighters have a long history of verbal exchanges and have not been shy in letting people know about their dislike for each other. Serra and Hughes are comming of losses and this match will almost likely determine the future as to their career within the UFC. Most MMA analysts have Hughes winning this fight through the utilisation of his strong wrestling and ground and pound.
